Burnout

Feeling fried, overwhelmed, stuck, helpless, frustrated, or hopeless?

Then you’ve come to the right place.

What is Burnout and What Causes it?

Burnout is a state of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion. This state is caused by extreme amounts of stress from feeling overwhelmed, underappreciated, behaviors conflicting with your values, lack of control, toxic environment, unfairness, feeling like you are unable to meet demands, feeling isolated, or trying to power through. Being burnt out leaves you feeling detached, unproductive, unmotivated, exhausted, hopeless, helpless, resentful, and pessimistic.

Burnout tends to deplete your energy and reduce productivity. In some cases it causes you to want to quit or give up on your performance. The longer you stay on the path to burnout the more you lose interest and motivation in what you are doing. In extreme cases burnout can cause chronic mental and physical fatigue and depression. These negative effects of burnout can and will spill over into other areas of life such as your home life, work life, and social life.
